Our BA Maturity Assessment offers a structured, independent view of how business analysis works within your organisation. It highlights what’s working well and where there’s scope for improvement. The output is a prioritised set of recommendations you can act on straight away.
We know that every BA team is different. Our approach is qualitative, not tick-box. We’ll explore how analysis gets done in your context, and we’ll adapt our assessment to suit your structure — whether your BAs are in one team, spread across departments, or working in different locations.
What to expect
We’ll look across several key areas of business analysis capability, as illustrated in the diagram below. If you choose to move forward, we’ll send a full proposal with details of how we’d approach the work
Collaborative and Flexible Discovery
We’ll engage with your BAs, their stakeholders and customers to build a clear picture of how analysis is currently practised. We know people are busy, so we’ll plan interviews and other activities around existing commitments. Our approach typically combines three types of discovery/elicitation techniques:

| E.g. “could you please send me five specifications and a set of user stories from a recent project/product” | E.g. during 1-to-1 interviews, we’ll probe to understand the practices that are in use | E.g. during 1-to-1 discussions, where relevant, we’ll ask to see specific examples |
We also typically run surveys for the BA team and selected stakeholders, alongside reviewing a sample of relevant documents.

- Sets out our findings across key maturity dimensions
- Includes a clear, prioritised roadmap of recommendations
- Identifies quick wins, so you can focus on areas with immediate benefit
