About the Speaker
Following a 25+ year career as an HR Director in engineering, science and educational sectors Kate established her own business, Next Step HR – balancing her Creative Executive Coaching Practice with her passion for Poetry in the Workplace. Kate is a scientist (PHD in Biological Sciences at Manchester University having discovered a new species of filmy fern) and poet (having published her first collection Un/Broken having discovered she was neurodivergent) reconciled. She is a sought-after Neurodiversity Coach and Spoken Word artist, TEDx speaker, and founder of the groundbreaking Poetry in Business Conference. Her poetry, shaped by neurodivergence and aphantasia, appears in numerous publications and blends creativity with leadership, giving voice to ideas that create human centric and innovative strategic thinking in a world of AI.
