In this #BACommunity Webinar we were joined by Almudena Rodriguez Pardo of Rodriguez Pardo & Associates for a lively discussion about a topic that creates much debate in the BA community and beyond! The webinar was entitled “Scaled Agile Framework (SAFe): Bloated Bureaucracy or an Enabler for Business Agility” and the session was recorded. You can view the recording below:
Webinar Description
Opinions such as ‘SAFe is a parasite on the heart and soul of Agile’ can be found in blogs and LinkedIn articles. Contrarily, The State of Agile Report just published that SAFe continues to be the most popular scaling method, covering 30% of the ‘agile at scale’ initiatives.
On the one hand, there are quite extreme perceptions and very critical approaches when it comes to scaling Agile using the Scaled Agile Framework. On the other hand, for most of the big multinationals, there seems to be no better alternative, as banks, insurance companies, telecommunication giants and many more are applying SAFe, and, even doing it successfully!
In this webinar we’ll take a closer look at the ongoing confrontation regarding scaling methods which the Agile world is nowadays going through. Furthermore, we’ll define what SAFe is and what it is not, and will finally examine some of the key arguments which are polarising our Agile community.
