In this #BACommunity Webinar we were joined by Kathy Berkidge of Mind at Work Consulting who discussed the importance of mindfulness for resilience, a topic that is very relevant for us as BAs (particularly when we are working on tricky projects with conflicting stakeholders). The webinar was entitled “The Mindful BA – Building Resilience Through Mindfulness” and you can view a recording below:
Webinar Description
In today’s world of constant change and disruption, BAs are under more pressure to facilitate solution discovery and drive business value. But all too often, BAs are time poor, multi-tasking, dealing with difficult stakeholders and acting in several roles, leading to poorer performance and stress. It takes more than just perseverance to manage these demands. BAs need mindfulness. Mindfulness is a key skill that helps manage stress and build resilience. Other benefits of mindfulness include increased focus, clearer thinking and better decision making. The mindful BA communicates effectively and manages challenges with greater ease. Kathy will share her experiences applying mindfulness to be a more resilient, and happier, BA.
